About Me

Exploring East Malaysia in October...
____________________________________________________________________________________
Amateur baker, food lover, trying to cut refined sugar from my diet. Friday pescetarian, minimal drinker, always eager to hit the dance floor sober. Bit bright-eyed, bushy-tailed, especially when there's fireworks, my inner child comes alive. Quiet thinker, decent listener, determined to make 2019 my year to remember.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Putting myself out there, meeting people from all over the world and sharing my travel experiences.
(NOT on here looking for a hook-up so please don't contact me or respond to my request if that's what you're after.)

Interests

Spending time outdoors when I get the chance, playing social basketball, exploring places I've never been to, food. Would love to learn to ride a motorcycle but might have to conquer my fears of crashing and should probably learn to ride a bicycle first...

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: anything you can move to but mostly mainstream RnB, Pop and Hip Hop. (More recently pub tunes, you know what I'm talking about. Don't mind belting them out, slightly out of tune and mostly with the wrong words, whoops!)
Movies/TV: Rom Coms, Historical Period Dramas and the occasional Sci-Fi limited to Doctor Who. A good 'who dunnit' / murder mystery minus the gore. And the odd kid's flick now and then.
Books: hopeless romantic, mostly trashy novels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hello 2016! Booking my flight to Europe to start my year of a lifetime. A short detour to Africa was something I never thought I'd do! While I've been here I bagged a munro in Scotland and hitch-hiked in parts of the UK. Never done it before and it was a bit thrilling! People can be really generous and willing to go out of their way for a complete stranger, it's been a very humbling experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

A stranger is just a friend you haven't met yet so the more the merrier! I've had some pretty unique experiences I can tell you about (wedding crashers in Fes!) and I'm keen to cook if you're willing to put up with my cooking.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Hopefully a laugh or two, and a good day and/or night out! Cooking skills that are still a work in progress...
