ABOUT ME

I am a very social person, I live alone, but lived with my 4 children untill they moved to Copenhagen to study and work. I have been a volunteer in the AFS programs hosting young exchange students living in Denmark for 11 month. I have hosted young students from Italy, Venezuela, Colombia,Chile, Brazil, Canada.

My profile has been inactive for the past 3 years, since I moved to a smaller place and had to spend some time settling at the new place. My recommendations from before 2017 are therefore from couchsurfers who’ve stayed with me at my old house. Unfortunately, I no longer have as much space as I used to. Now guests will have to stay on a bed in my kitchen/living room. Sometimes during the summer months I stay at my summer/beach house, which is located 5 km. outside Rønne by the beach. When I am there, I can also host.

I like to go for walks in the Bornholm nature, go to flea markets, watch a good movie and go to concerts.

I like to get to know about how other people live and think. All though I am a little old of age, I’ve been told that my mind is young!!!!

I use couchsurfing as a cultural exchange, so I expect to get to know something about your country and your culture. That is why I prefer not to host people who will only stay one night on the way to or from the ferry.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When my youngest daughter lived at home, she had a profile on couchsurfing, and we had 17 persons staying with us in 10 month, comming from United States, India, Denmark, Mexico, Singapore, Israel, Germany, Poland and Latvia. After Freja moved to Copenhagen, I made my own profile and I hosted 264 people from 34 different countries!

On my travels, I have often met up with couchsurfers, that I’ve hosted, for dinners, small trips or a coffee. I’m still in contact with a lot of them through Facebook and Instagram.

3 years ago I moved to a smaller place and I have therefore not been active in terms of hosting couchsurfers since then. Nevertheless, I realized that I kind of miss the interesting people and stories, I’ve come across hosting couchsurfers, and therefore decided to open my new home.

兴趣

I am reading a lot of books. I like to visit flea markets (finding things I don´t need) and I volunteer in a local thrift shop. I go for walks in the wonderful nature of Bornholm almost every weekend. I like very much to travel. I invite friends for small dinners and homebaked cake. In the summer, I swim every morning in the Baltic sea. I like going to the movies and go to concerts. I also travel to Copenhagen and the surrounding areas to see my children and grandchildren.
