I'm Nicolas, I'm 32 years old and I'm Argentine living in Dublin. I am studying English and traveling together with my girlfriend (Flor). In my country I worked as a physical education and lifeguard teacher, currently in Ireland I work in hospitality.
I really enjoy traveling and getting to know new places, if possible away from the crowds and little tourists. I like the outdoors, take pictures of animals in freedom, good landscapes or people in their daily lives.
I like running to meet new places. I prefer homemade food and always try to cook them myself.
I try to be responsible in the use of water, plastic and hate wasting food.
I really like the outdoors, although from time to time I choose to stay in bed watching a movie or series.
I think that traveling, besides knowing new places, implies knowing new cultures, new people, new music, new flavors and new experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I want to visit cities and not be a tourist, live and visit places where locals go. Listen to the stories of the cities from the opinion of someone who has lived there and not from a tour guide who learned that story through videos or a book. Also when my house is able to receive visits I would like to give back to the community what she gave me.

Music, Movies, and Books

I likes classics musics bands like The Rollings Stones, The Beatles, also I listen to Argentinian and Uruguayan rock bands (NTVG, Divididos, La Renga). I like diferents kind of music.
At the moment I´m trying to read in english diferent short stories.
And I love sports movies like "Coach Carter", "Moneyball" or "invictus" and I always cry watching "Marley and me" hahaha.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I studied to be a Lifeguard, it was one of the most difficult, hard and beautiful things I did in my life. It was a very hard year, training very hard and at the end I felt a great happiness of having overcome all the difficulties and having taken my limits much further than I imagined.
