My name is Miguel. I'm 26, and since my 18s, I have understood that traveling motivates me the most. Here's why: I have spent 1 month in Cabo Verde doing volunteering work in 2017. I went to Argentina for 6 months in 2019. I lived in Italy also for 6 months in 2023. In the between, many 1 to 2 weeks holidays were spent in multiple corners of the world. In each one of them, I always felt amazing discovering new places, new food, and, mostly, meeting new people and cultures. I am not saying I identify with all of them, but learning it was always a good idea. In 2024 I decided it was time to purchase a longer journey through the 2 continents I was missing: Asia and Oceania. I left my Data Scientist position and went for a gap year where I pretend to discover most of the places between Índia and New Zealand. It will probably last more than expected. The countries planned (or imagined) might change. But for sure, there will be histories to tell. And that is the most I can offer to hosts and surfers all over the world.
