About Me

Back and forth between Ireland and London so I'm often looking for a cat sitter for my place in West Drayton - it's in West London near Heathrow airport.

I have some travel experience but I'm not one of those CS professionals you come across on here.
I just love chatting and getting an insight into other cultures and also what makes people tick.

I'm a musician, serious film fan and foodoholic.
Being Irish, I can't refuse a drink either, although I don't take too much!

PHILOSOPHY

Work hard, earn the right to play hard! Full of respect for nature and science. I also have an endless thirst for knowledge, even if my brain can't always retain it! I am still determined to be cheerful and happy, in whatever situation I may be, for I have also learned from experience that the greater part of our happiness or misery depends upon our dispositions, and not upon our circumstances.

I once heard Albert Mazibuko from Ladysmith Black Mambazo say: 'Whatever you do in life, do it well.'

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I associate hotels abroad with work and find it hard not to consider CS when travelling! My host to surf ratio is still quite high so my credit is good :)

I think the best CS experience I've had so far was a party I threw for a load of surfers in London.... so much fun!
But then again other times were just as good in different ways... it's all relative!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had six wonderful people grace me with their presence! I think I have learned how to become a great host with time, balancing the expectations of others with what I consider to be fun.

On the flip side.. there's that amazing feeling of being on a train in a strange land.. venturing into the unknown.

Interests

Music times a million. comedy. films. war history. Guinness. being creative and sharing knowledge and thoughts. I also have some sort of a fascination for Scandinavia, and I want to meet as many people as possible from Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, and to a lesser extent, Denmark haha
