Couchsurfing is the best way to live all these experiences and meet people from every where in the world without traveling.
I like travel and don't feel like a tourist and also receive people and talk to them how things really work at my country, what is really typical, what experiences are a MUST, etc.
Stay with a local person will really give you the chance to know everything about that place and the culture.
Since I love feeling part of every place, I love visit local markets, see what people buys and eat at their home tables.
