About Me

I am currently travelling. I no longer have a house so I can't host anyone!

ABOUT ME

I am a 31-year-old vegan Canadian. I love meeting new people, discover new cultures, languages, experiences. I love to learn and the best way I have found so far is by meeting people and traveling.

After living in Perth and Pitlochry in the UK, I decided to go for a change of scenery and moved to Interlaken, Switzerland. I stayed there for a month before going to Hamburg, Germany to take care of a cute little dog, followed by a month in Calais, France volunteering with the refugees. I am now in Moldova and Romania for about one more month before I head back to Canada for a few months.

I do not have a couch at the moment, but I would love to meet up with travellers and locals.

PHILOSOPHY

Enjoy every minute and live in the present. There is always something to learn from everybody and every situation.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted some nice people while living in Northern British-Columbia,Canada as well as during my last year in Quebec City. Since moving in with another couchsurfing host in Perth, I've been hosting there as well.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It is such an amazing thing to get to spend time with people you would not get a chance otherwise. I hosted and thanks to sweet hosts, was able to surf in Scotland.

Interests

Traveling, talking about travels, different cultures, languages...

I LOVE being outside, hiking, sailing, writing, reading and cooking great vegetarian and vegan food.

I also love a good conversation about any subject. I love trying to get a complete picture of a situation, so hearing any challenging/different opinions are a great way to achieve that (as long as it's done in a respectful way of course!)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I accepted a job and moved to Fort St John with my then boyfriend without even knowing where it was... We sold everything and left on our round the world trip... During that amazing trip, we had the opportunity to join a 16 people sailing vessel as crew members and travel from Auckland, New Zealand to Chile, via Antarctica. We learned how to sail, saw countless icebergs and whales and got to walk among many pinguin rookeries... I volunteered for a month with the refugees in Calais.. and I am always ready to add to this list of amazing experiences.

Teach, Learn, Share

I taught French to English students for 4 years, so I can help anyone interested in learning French or English

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share vegetarian/vegan recipes and ways to transform 'regular' recipes into meat-free ones.

I can also provide travel tips for many destinations!
