Overview
About Me
I'm a graduate of the United World Colleges. Born in Indonesia to South Asian parents, I've grown up across Europe and South-East Asia.
I'm studying Computer Science, Mathematics, Global Affairs, Literature and Philosophy — with no clue what I may want to do when I graduate!
I enjoy reading about current affairs and political theory, as well as writing for journals and editorials (for example, the Fox & Hedgehog Current Affairs Review: http://www.foxhedgehog.com/author/aaditgupta/). I am also very active in public interest work; I was the chairperson of an organization which supported a school in Paraisópolis, São Paulo, Brazil, and a network of homes for the elderly in Singapore.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I've never lived in my passport country, I naturally enjoy travelling very much. It seems a great opportunity to meet like-minded folks across the globe, and couchsurfing seemed an amazing way to do so!
ACTIVITY ON COUCHSURFING
I'm new to couchsurfing, and my first trip will be one travelling across the British Isles with a good friend of mine. As of now, I'm unable to accept fellow surfers because I live in college student accommodation, but am hoping to do so once I get my own place!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Travelled with three friends from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, to Brussels, Belgium (through China, Mongolia, Russia, Poland, Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands). On the Latvia-Russia border, I was dragged off the train and sent back into Russia because my visa was in an old passport. I hitchhiked for eight hours from the middle of nowhere to St. Petersburg with a lovely Czech-Russian family, and flew to Poland. It's an ordeal/adventure I will always remember: and I have a big 'X' in my passport as proof!
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to talk about politics, philosophy, and culture! I speak a bit of many languages (Vietnamese, Chinese, French, Hindi, Spanish, Swedish, German), so learning/teaching what I know would be great too.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My stories, company, and snacks from Singapore!
