About Me
Hi. I'm Abbi, I love travelling and meeting new people and learning languages.
I work for a small NGO as a Programmes Officer, while finishing my Masters in Gender and International Relations. I'm doing my dissertation on indigenous women's activism in the Amazon.
At home we have two friendly cats and two kids aged 10 and 6. We're a bilingual household (Spanish - English) as my husband is Mexican.
I'm from London and have lived in Bristol since 2007.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
A friend told me about it, and I'm travelling alone to Spain shortly and don't want to spend all the time alone. It sounds like a great way to meet people.
Interests
I'm interested in global issues, social justice, environmentalism, and I also love going out with friends and dancing esp salsa, merengue, bachata.

Music, Movies, and Books
I read a lot of novels in the different languages I know to practice. I recently came back from Italy and I'm reading Il Nero et Il Argento by Paolo Giordano. I also recently read a polish book in translation which was really interesting, Driving over the bones of the dead. I also like non fiction on popular science and politics, global issues. I also find distopias fascinating. I've watched a lot of Brazilian and French Netflix series recently and I love Spanish and Latin American cinema.
