关于我
I belong to a lower middle class family with a scarce educational background. However, my father was determined to make sure that his children had access to quality education and prioritized this over many things. He served as a government servant and faced many hurdles raising a family of 9 children. It was only due to his determination and continuous effort that I ended up in the best engineering college of Pakistan, National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST). It was an honour for me and my father that I became the first engineer of the family.
During my 3rd semester we studied our first robotics course. From the very start, I was fascinated by robotics and artificial intelligence. In the summer of 2012, I started an internship at School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering NUST with one of the best researchers in this field; Dr. Yasar Ayaz. I gathered a team to work on our final year project one year in advance. Slightly humorously, I wanted to make an iron man at first, but Dr Yasar gave my passion a reasonable direction and made me realize the necessity of making wearable robots for otherwise incapacitated people, calling it a better approach. He insisted that by taking a modular approach and going limb by limb I could actually achieve my original idea after all. I worked on wearable robots for two years and made an intelligent wearable robot for people with paralyzed ankle as my final year project. Professional development and grooming at NUST transformed my vision completely. From someone whose primary objective was to secure a job, my goal changed; I wanted to become an entrepreneur. NUST made me realize what Pakistan has bestowed us with and I developed a sense of responsibility that being an engineer I have to do something for my country and my nation, I have to build something new. And to build and introduce my own idea, I have to take the initiative. I knew that after my studies finished, I would have to support my family and I wouldn't be able to do that instantly by starting my own venture which would take time. That is why I started my own tuition academy, AIMS Academy, which later turned into AIMS group of academies with three campuses and a school, allowing me reasonable financial sustainability and freedom to work on my own project. Before graduation I received a job offer from Lucky Cement Limited (LCL) and my father helped convince me to take the offer so that I may have first-hand experience of corporate culture and industrial SOPs. Hence I left AIMS academy to my partner and in July 2014 I joined LCL. But I never lost sight of my goal which was to follow my own dream and realise my own idea. My two years at industry gave me a lot of experience of management and operations. I also realized that in a conventional job I would not be able to add as much value to my country as I could. I would never be able to build something new, due to the tragic state of industries in Pakistan where engineers are just assigned to maintain the imported machines, and that they are not there to redesign or invent. After several refusals to my proposed redesign or modifications to the existing process and machines, I realized that it’s not my place. So tirelessly I kept on working on our product. Fortunately In February 2016 I secured a position at Bestway Cement which enabled me to get to my hometown Islamabad where I could work at Robotics and Intelligent Systems Engineering (RISE) Lab at NUST. I convinced Mr. Muhammad Usman Yousaf (CTO Sahara iO), and we started working on our idea together. And finally ended up starting Sahara iO in June 2016.
我为什么加入 Couchsurfing
I love travelling, I drove my motorcycle to the north of Pakistan and Kashmir. I visited Kalaam, Swat, Gilgit, Hunza, Naraan, Naltar Valley, Astore, Deosai Plains, Khunjerab Pass, Neelum Valley and the list goes on. I wish I could do it all the time, but I can't due to work. When I meet different people and hear their stories, I can visualize and with their eyes can visit places I have never been to. Also I want to set my country's image right, We Pakistanis are a loving and caring nation. Pakistan is a peaceful country. We treat our guests like family, and whoever visits us for once, will love to come back. I am here on CouchSurfing platform to make others feel that away from home, they are at home.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情
I quit my job to work for the betterment of community, something that I always feel proud of. I traveled on my motorcycle to Deosai Plains with a friend, despite that we couldn't make proper arrangements, we set foot and we did it. I provided home tuition to underprivileged females in the outskirts of Islamabad, where they couldn't find good teachers. I started a tuition academy in a village near Islamabad, which as of now has turned into AIMS Group of Academies, with 3 campuses and a school.
