About Me
Hey, I’m Abed — 43, proud Turkish blood but lost in Tehran since forever (yes, I still mix a little Azeri accent when I get excited).
I’m addicted to mountains, open roads, wind in my beard and that sweet taste of freedom.
Back in 2008–2009 I was flying around for work, then in 2010 I said “screw it”, bought a van and officially started #vanlife. Slowly turned that van into a rolling home — it only misses a jacuzzi and Starlink now!
In Tehran I’m always on my motorbike. Traffic? What traffic? I just split lanes and disappear.
By day I’m the serious IT guy: data centers, networks, servers, cables…
By night and on weekends I turn into the wild version of myself — campfire, qalyān bubbling, kebab on fire, travel stories and non-stop laughing.
I weld, I do carpentry, plumbing, electrical — basically if the apocalypse comes, come to my place, we’ll still have hot water and Wi-Fi.
Love traditional Persian & Turkish music, endless glasses of strong tea, cooking over open fire, and real hospitality. If you stay with me you’ll probably end up eating way too much, smoking qalyān on the balcony and listening to my crazy road stories until 3 a.m.
So if you like mountains, motorbikes, campfire food, good laughs and zero drama — my door is open. Just bring a cool story (or at least a big appetite).
Looking forward to hosting you and hearing your adventures!
