About Me

I am a 27 year old charity worker living in Bristol, UK. I studied Geography and am especially interested in enabling sustainability at a community level around the world. I am excited by the possibilities for imagining and practicing a new way of interacting in the world and each other.

I love travelling and connecting with new people and new cultures. A few of my favourite countries I have visited so far are Vietnam, Costa Rica and Malawi.

I love dancing and meeting new people but also need my own time to recharge. I enjoy discovering new music and trying out recipes. I am a sucker for sunsets and will stop what I am doing to make sure I can enjoy a moment of reflection.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Whenever I have gone travelling it has been the people that I meet that make my trip so memorable and enjoyable. I love learning about new cultures and think there is nothing more beautiful than the ability to connect with a complete stranger.

As we live in an increasingly technological and lonely society I am determined to keep on connecting with people. I want to keep reminding myself of the wonderful variety of individuals that make up our world and to dare myself to be more trusting of people I do not know yet.

I am also inspired by a few of my friends who have had wonderful experiences couch surfing. This seems like an exciting, affordable and adventurous way to see the world!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love every type of music, with the exception of heavy metal. But I am always interested in listening to new styles of music and especially love live music.

I have been fortunate to go to many festivals and especially love funk and soul and reggae! Dancing is one of my biggest passions and I love dancing to all kinds of music.

Favourite films would be Shawshank redemption, Forrest Gump and Spirited Away.

I love reading and am trying to read more each year. A few of my favourite books are; The colour Purple, Room and The power of Now. The Power of Now has had a huge impact on my life helping me to live a life in the present that is mindful - I highly recommend it to anyone looking to become more present and grateful for life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am happy to share stories and travel recommendations. I would also be very happy to cook and help around the house! Most of all I can share a warm and friendly smile and lots of conversation. I am also respectful of other peoples space and routines.
