Hey there, You can call me Abie/Abz. I'm going into my final year of university in England, having just completed a semester abroad studying in Calgary. I am a practising artist who picked up the 'travelling bug' in 2015 when I backpacked around South East Asia! I am a very chilled out person and seem to get on with people from all different backgrounds. I prefer to engage the informal, friendly approach with a sense of humour when meeting other fellows.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
Firstly, to meet locals who know the area and can share their expertise on hidden gems outside of touristy spots. Secondly, to meet new people and potentially make friends for life. Last, to get a real feel for living in the country. You can gain a whole different perspective with a homestay. The best thing is when a daunting place becomes a place of refuge and comfort and doesn't intimidate you as much as it did. This seems to be very apparent in a female mind when travelling alone on occasion.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Ride on a motorcycle in Pai down the town and to the canyon with a stray dog named Ding sat in front of me. Bliss
