About Me
***If you are looking for a host to take pride in showing you this city (&pizza) and you believe we match based on my profile and couch info, definitely send a request***
Now that I am done with college(Earthscience), I am looking to the real word and its people to gain knowledge. I am growing into my entrepreneurship role, taking it one step at a time while having an endgame in mind.
I tend to travel internationally one-a few times a year and I love to do activities that allow me to actually get a sense for society values, culture and challenges. Debate team allowed me to do just that!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I really enjoy and feel energized from being social with others even though it is challenging. Hosting one or two people is a much more comfortable way for me to build real connections than large events.
I also have pride in New York City and my navigational skills. I love to show people around and can appreciate the desire to not spend money unnecessarily.
Interests
- board games
- renewable energy
- transportation
Music, Movies, and Books
I mostly listen to hip hop/rap but I like most music suited well for car rides. I really enjoyed Harry Potter, 21 about card counting and Coming to America. I watch entertaining educational videos on YouTube.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Gained an understanding of chaebol culture with debate rounds, classroom lecture and Hyudai weekend tour. I spent a semester in South Korea and certainly recommend it.
Teach, Learn, Share
I look forward to cooking together with guests but also enjoying the food NYC has to offer. Being social is a learning experience in itself and I am looking to break my shyness around unfamiliar people.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I usually come up with nice gift ideas last minute.
Countries I’ve Visited
Belize, Canada, China, Germany, Netherlands, South Africa, South Korea
