About Me

I work in a family owned-operated architecture firm in California, sometimes as a digital nomad.
We hope to build many homes using more natural materials that keep our families and our environment healthy.

I live on land in Sacramento, but I still own my sailboat where I used to live. For now, the boat is undergoing repairs until I can move back to the sea.

The human experience provides us all with unlimited variety, and I am always looking for more.
Every human life is worth saving.
Even your darkest moment is an opportunity to learn.

Love is paradise. Fear is hell. Life is now.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This community is built on trust in your fellow human being and is how more people should live. I want to be a part of something that restores and creates in the way Couchsurfing can.

My faith in humanity has been restored when shelter was offered to me when I felt my life depended on it. Sharing my space is my chance to spread that love.

Interests

I daily dream of sailing the high seas.
The drumbeat lures my body to freedom.
Sustainability is the primary goal for this era of humanity.
We need more creative and economic solutions for developing self sufficient communities.
I am constantly inspired by our collective world history and the tales, myths, and lore of all human folk.

Music, Movies, and Books

Traditional music from around the world are my favorite. I also listen to EDM to help concentration while working.

Film is an art form so anything that tells a story, makes you feel, or inspires the imagination. Lately I've been watching series of shows instead of movies. It saves time and can tell a grander tale.

My reading is split between epic novels and informative handbooks or articles. I go for the classics and the eclectic.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have found my personal Hell and climbed my out of it.
I have made it this far

Teach, Learn, Share

In my experience with traveling, my most cherished memories are when I became friends with someone local.
I don't travel for the sites, I travel for the people.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am handy, creative, practical, eager, flexible, and generally positive. My basic goal as a guest is to ease the daily burdens my hosts have to deal with.
