My Name is biniam I'm 32 years old
I was born in a rural area called Engafat, 5 days walking from Lalibela. To improve our life situation my mother decided to move to Lalibela with me and my older sister. Since I came to Lalibela as a young child I used to clean shoes to help my family. I started my first class in Lalibela primary school and after finishing the elementary educational program I went to high school. I studied in college in Dessie, because there is no college in Lalibela. There I certified as a trekking guide and I am very happy that in doing so I accomplished one of my aspirations. My mother is 74 years old right now, and I live together with her in Lalibela. I help her as much as I can.

This facebook page and my website is made by tourists I have guided. They want to help me in helping my mother and building a better life, and at the same time help tourists to cut the middlemen and enjoy a good trek from Lalibela with a good guide for a fair price. Win-win-win! :)
