I am a pretty laid back dude, who loves to travel and meet new people. I am the type of person who enjoys just relaxing and chatting with people but also likes to get a little crazy and try local beer!

I love learning so I look forward to learning about your life and interests!

After working and living in South Korea for a little over two years it is time to go out and explore the world!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Although I have had my profile for a few years I never had a chance to host anyone back home (not many people interested in towns outside of Toronto). But now that I am travelling I look forward to having fun on the CS experience and when I get back home keep my couch open!

Interests

Travelling and learning new things are definitely tops!

Other than travelling I love sports (ice hockey being the favourite), meeting new people and trying new things!

I also like to read, play games, watch movies/shows and try to learn new things (like a language) in order to better myself.

I also like occasional "absolute lazy days" where I just sit around and relax.

During my big around the world trip I have developed a love for photography and scuba diving!

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite movies are:
Easy Rider, Gladiator, Braveheart, Star Wars, Full Metal Jacket, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, American Beauty, Saving Private Ryan, Fight Club, The Godfather, T2, and The Big Lebowski

Music: Love classic rock (Pink Floyd, Beatles, The Who, Boston, Led Zeppelin, Rush). Also really like The Tragically Hip (a popular Canadian group I can introduce you too!) and am getting into some techno and hip hop (and really starting to enjoy Korean Hip Hop like Drunken Tiger and MC Sniper)

Books: I love to read! Some of my favourites are The Song of Ice and Fire series, Ready Player One, Watchmen, Brave New World, Lights Out in Wonderland, The Name of the Wind, The Hobbit, The Stand, Born to Run (and I am not a fan of running!), and The Game (a hockey book)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Skydiving in Motueka, New Zealand. So cool to see both islands and even a volcano off in the distance!
-Walking through the Siq to glimpse the beautiful Treasury of Petra
-Woke up at 2am to climb Mt Batur in Bali to see the bloodred sunrise break out from behind the surrounding volcanoes
-A 4 day boat ride from Gili Trawangan to Labuan Bajo, Flores with lots of snorkeling and some Komodo dragon stops!
-In Koh Tao I did a night dive. The experience s surreal. Covering the light 20m below is like floating in a starless space!
-exploring the sandy plains of Bagan, Myanmar with a good friend and finding a secluded temple to watch the sunset on my birthday
