ABOUT ME
I'm just a normal guy so I'm not sure what to write. Ha I don't anyone likes writing about themselves. I guess first ill say that traveling is my number one passion above all other things. In my spare time(and for work)I love to do woodworking. Here soon I plan on doing my own thing and trying to sell custom beds, dressers, and custom cabinetry for homes. I love to meet new people and have new experiences. Fascinated by other languages, I just recently started German, I can't wait to progress. Anyway, I'm new to this, and I hope the fact I don't have a bunch of friends and references prevents me from meeting some great new friends.
PHILOSOPHY
Obviously, like any sane person, I try to lives life with as little regrets as I can. We are all the writers, directors, producers, and actors of our life story. We can make the story whatever we want, so why not take advantage of that? Dr. Seuss said it best "You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You're on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who'll decide where to go..."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
As I said, I'm brand new and haven't participated but I hope to not only find lots of hosts but to host lots of people in future when I get back
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've have had some amazing experiences and met some unbelievable people, but my favorite was in ravensburg Germany. After arriving very late at night on the train, I ran into a group of people that were very friendly and upon realizing i was a little lost and couldn't find a hostel they proceeded(joyfully ignoring my protests) to walk around with me trying to help me find a room, being my translator and negotiators. After failure, one of them invited me back to sleep at his house. Great, a free couch I thought, ha but when I got there he told me I'd have to set my tent and bag up in the back yard because he lived with his grandparents and he was worried they would be mad he brought a random American stray home. Within minutes of Laying down he came back out to tell me that his grandma was up and was horrified he told their "new guest" he had to sleep on the lawn. With the grandma being so sweet and always trying to feed me delicious food and the grandpa with so many cool stories I ended up staying there three days because they were do much fun. Ill never forget their hospitality and I'm so grateful I never did find a hostel or hotel.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite book by far is a brave new world by Huxley
And there isn't a genre of music or movies I don't like. If its good its good.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I realize this isn't in the spirit of the question but by far the most amazing thing I've ever see. Was watching my little niece pick herself up and stand for the her first time. It was so exciting I was speechless, until that time she seemed like a baby, but then to me she was a toddler.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd be happy to share my knowledge of carpentry, help perfect someone's English, teach a little Spanish. Cultural questions, anything really, ha I'd be kind of a jerk if I knew something and refused to tell someone info on the subject they were interested in.
