Overview
About Me
I just moved to Seattle to continue my awesome research about how cells move around :) I moved from the beautiful beaches of La Jolla (San Diego) to this great city. Before that and a brief stint at the end of undergrad in Singapore, I grew up in Southern India and the lushness of the villages is the biggest thing I miss about home!
I tend to be nerdy and highly passionate about my work, movie choices and music. Solo travelling around has shown me more about myself than the world. I am very happy about the kind of people I had met so far and hope that I will find more people with positive energy to be around me!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I stepped into Singapore completely on my own and was a completely different world for me. I tried Couchsurfing to hang out with people and met some amazing persons!
Couchsurfing has changed and moulded my perceptions about the human condition, empathy and stigmatization. I had so much fun and experience with my roommate hosting CS people and it is just so rewarding. I look forward to meeting even more friendly and warm locals all over the world, to share my experiences and live the ones I couldn't do it by hearing out others.
Interests
I am a big time nerd and a thorough follower of mother nature. I get fancy when I cook and hike way too lot. I used to lounge at beaches but since I moved to Seattle, im digging the vibrant Capitol Hill vibe

Music, Movies, and Books
You would have to listen to Man on fire to understand my music choices. Becuase I cannot put to words the kind of positive energy that springs out of the song . Can't live without rock, folk or jazz!
If there had been any less of Richard Linklater (Before series yessss) , Mani Ratnam, Luca Guadagnino or Woody Allen magic in the world, it would have been a gloomy place to live! I don't have a golden age fallacy but I certainly do prefer the romantic era (With its emotional appeal, liberal thoughts and beautiful narratives) literature to modern fiction/drama.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Take up science career full time :) Figuring out how Nature works is certainly a bliss!!
Drive up from San Diego to Seattle through the rich and diverse landscapes, through beaches, snowstorms, mountains, forests and desserts.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am looking forward to learning how to open my eyes to the world and see things, which I have found only travellers, more often than others have in common!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Tamil culture has an exquisite literature bank for around 2,500 years! I would love to share the cultural phenomenon with others and make some good South Indian dinner (or take out my host for a drink, the American style) :)
I value independent movies and their artistic creativity. I can recommend a diverse range of movies in this genre.
