Hi everybody ! I, Aditya Manna, an Indian. My love one is a cancer patient. She is also working with me. I did not mention her name due to social stigma in our rural surroundings. I and she jointly working to support home based palliative care for terminal cancer patients in rural part of West Bengal, India. It is a gift to now work with terminal cancer patients with also volunteers who supply information and encouragement to others affected by the disease that impacted our life so strongly. We are so happy to work for our rural organization that helps people cope at a very difficult time in their lives. It is the importance of being able to connect with other people who had had cancer for a new diagnosed. Our areas of particular interest include counseling, programming, training, and support services for people with metastatic disease. As a clinical social worker, has been worked more than 12 years in this field, I hope to build a program that meets the unique needs of people with advanced disease. I was the founder president of “Narikeldaha Prayas” and worked with a wonderful group of volunteers and part time staff to accomplish the many goals our program had. We were able to enhance educational program, awareness program, patient’s survivors meet and we also increased our community efforts and support groups! Now I am able to work with a wonderfully dedicated staff to enrich all our programs and to increase diversity. We continues to amaze me with all the love, support and hope we bring daily to advanced stage cancer patients and their families and friends. I have spent much of my career and volunteer time advocating to provide hope, support and empowerment to people affected by cancers. I had the best of everything - the best advice in every little step starting from the surgery and going through chemo, radiation and recovery, and I had the best support I could ever have. I was in exactly the right place at the right time. In order to achieve our mission we believe that scientific progress must be complemented by sound public policy and advocacy. Narikeldaha Prayas is a patient advocacy organization in local community of India working in all types of cancer including advance cancer.
