About Me

28 year old Northern Mexican girl living in the Yucatan Peninsula #livingthedream !!
I ve traveled a lot so I know the feeling of being away and discovering new places, and I love it!
I'm a doctor, graduated in 2012 from Universidad Autonoma de Coahuila in northern Mexico, and now I'm doing my specialty in Ophthalmology in a hospital in Merida.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I find traveling to be an awesome learning experience, in all aspects. I LOVE having the opportunity of meeting new people and helping them discover the world out there, even if its just by hosting them a few days or showing them around.

Interests

As a doctor still studying... I have little time for hobbies, but I do enjoy traveling and meeting new people, overall just having fun!
Back home, I used to play all kinda sports with my friends, and I played flag football for 6 years as the quarterback of med school team.
I played the viola in different orchestras for 11 years during my childhood and adolescence, we got to traveled all around Mexico and I know a bit about music ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

Alternative Rock, Indie, and Country (sorry haha, I lived a year in the Midwest in USA... so it got stuck with me).

Netflix is one of my best friends, it may sound cheesy, but I love romantic comedies :D

Books... I read all the time, doctor after all. And favorite books I have a ton... Arrancame la vida, The House of God, Harry Potter (yeah, sorry :P), ... easy reading stuff mostly, since I read hard stuff all the time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Saving people everyday as my job ;)

Teach, Learn, Share

If I had not been a doctor, I would have been a history teacher... so, I like history about places and cultural stuff.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Im very bad at last minutes notice... But if we do manage to arrange something, A nice apartment and some tips, we might end up discovering Merida together because Im also new in town. I work a lot so I might not be a good companion, but if i have a day off or something maybe we can figure it out :)
