About Me

Hello mabuhay, my name is Carol and I'm from Philippines. I spent a significant part of my life in the beautiful country of Lesotho, Africa and now relocating to Canada

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined Couchsurfing with excitement as I'm embarking on my major life event. My desire is to connect with genuine and kind individuals who can share their own travel experiences and recommendations, making my time in Canada even more enriching.

The idea of meeting people from diverse backgrounds who have fascinating travel stories to tell really resonates with me. I believe that by connecting with fellow travelers through Couchsurfing, I can gain insights into the local culture, discover hidden gems, and create memorable moments during my stay.

Furthermore, my sister was a part of Couchsurfing from 2012, and through her account, we've had the privilege of accommodating various nationalities and leaving positive remarks about the wonderful experiences we shared. https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/khotso_1213

Music, Movies, and Books

Although I'm naturally music lover, nothing beats the timeless blend of 80s and 90s for me. But play me a latin dance music and I will surely dance along. MOVIES - The God Father, Bridges of Madison County, A walk in a clouds, somewhere in time, Forest Gump, Beautiful Life, Gladiator, Charlize, Theron and Leonardo movies. Interstellar, Million dollar baby, a star is born, hang over, bridesmaids, white chick.
BOOKS - Sydney Sheldon and Paulo Coelho.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Play drums in a church band where we got to be invited to play in all wedding and funeral occasions. Hihi.

Bungee jumping, zip lining and gorge swinging in a row.

Traveling and camping in Sossusvlei, Namibia. This desert is a must see!

Scuba diving in Mauritius and Mozambique. I just love the zen and tranquility feeling it gives when underwater.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am an enthusiast drum player and table tennis player. if you happen to have one of this I can definitely teach you.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm excited to share my Filipino cooking skills with you! From delicious adobo to flavorful sinigang, I can't wait to introduce you to the authentic tastes of my culture. And if you're a fellow Zumba enthusiast, I'd be thrilled to teach you some energetic dance steps that will have you grooving and sweating in no time.
