About Me

A pharmacist in Poland who is constantly trying to explore new things!✌🏻

I am currently doing my volunteering year in Gdansk in Caritas. I work in a after-school club with Polish kids. I also help with Ukranian kids in a center. I graduated from pharmacy but I don’t work in the field. I am trying to figure out what I am passionate about.

I love nature and being in so. I love going for a picnic almost every day during summer. I like to grab my coffee/beer and read and listen my favorite songs under the sun. I like these lazy days. I live for these lazy picnics :)) I like forest, green areas, walking and just vibing in nature! Also mountains and trekking ;)

I love animals as well, I have a cat for 7 years and I try my best to take care of animals. In Istanbul there are so many stray animals and i try to give them food, make their vaccines, pet them and protect them :) I am a vegetarian 🌱 🥑 🥗!

I like to go out to discover a new restaurant or a bar. I don’t like trying so many different cuisines to be honest :D I might have some prejudices about food and I don’t try any kind of food when I don’t like the way how it looks! 😂 The presentation really matters to me!
Fun fact about me: I used to throw up when i see black olives on breakfast table as it reminded me the skin of my grandma and I felt like my family is taking a bite from my grandma 🤣🤣 So.. If you want to offer me your traditional food, I can’t say that I will be super keen to try it, I can try my best tho 😅
If I am trying a new restaurant.. it s mostly Turkish food or international food that all we know. I do love asian, spanish and Mexican and Mediterranean food in general..

I love techno and raves. I am not a club person. I love the unity in raves, so i prefer raves than clubs! I like the idea of welcoming anyone no matter their looking, background, color, race etc.

I like to be chill and do whatever i want instead of feeling like “I should do this and that…”. I am very simple and I am thinking very simple about almost all material topics. So, if you want to talk about your business plans or how much money you make etc. I am not the person you are looking for. However, if u want to talk about how i spent 3 weeks in Greece with 200 euros, then we can have a talk! 😜 I do love thrift shopping and I refuse to buy fast fashion! I see happiness in very little things (cycling children, walking turtle, smiling baby, shopping old people..) I don’t like money overall i guess :)) I am not into technology..

I am trying to be as sustainable as I can. I care about upcycling, not wasting, being more eco..

I am passionate about listening other people stories and learning about them all the time. I am a very good listener and I really enjoy listening. This is one of the reasons why I am on Couchsurfing! I wanna learn more and more about people. If I would stay in my little zone, I wouldn’t be able to meet this much great people :)

Recently I took so many random messages, therefore I want to be sure that you read my profile. Please use the word “Fikros” which is the name of my cat while you sent me a message! Also please keep this in mind that i like this app because if gives me opportunity of meeting amazing people, not hooking up! Don’t text me as if this is tinder, go and download that app and start using it!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I prefer to learn about cultures from people not from books! I can say that I am reading quite a lot, but it was never the same for me when I learn a culture from an actual local people! I really appreciate when people are willing to teach me their culture! However, I am very bad with remembering foreign names, so I can remember how to dance your traditional dance and show it to people, but I won’t be able to remember the name of the dance 😅. I would like to learn about your language, history, daily traditions (this is my favorite), cuisine (although i am a bit judgmental), traditional dances, and every day life!
Plus, CS gives me opportunity to meet amazing people (beside learning the cultures or talking about traveling experiences). I ve met amazingly great people who I am still in touch with. It is incredible for me to meet this many different points of view about life! Sometimes, it was also overwhelming, but I am grateful!

Music, Movies, and Books

Mostly I listen alternative/indie/pop/rock/techno music.
It is hard for me to choose a favorite movie or book or music etc.. Having a favorite thing in life feels like choosing black or white. But I am always in the grey area of life :))
Books: I read about feminism (philosophy: not fragile like a flower, fragile like a bomb) We have so many things to take from society, and we will!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Starting to travel solo ✌🏻
