Overview
About Me
I'm a nerd, half-homebody, half-wanderer (the grass is always greener and I jump back and forth over the fence). Living alone for the first time in eight years after parting ways with my roommate when he got married. New to Seattle, but I spend a lot of time rambling around the city, so these three months have granted me enough knowledge to show you a fantastic time if you'd like. I love food more than anything, so I'm all about dining and cooking. I love to feed people, and there is a good chance I'll offer you all sorts of delicious creations.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I signed up to find a place to crash on my somewhat unplanned trip to propose at Disneyland, but after living with one roommate for 8 years, I find that my new home (my first house of my own) could use a guest or two.

Music, Movies, and Books
Pretty diverse. The Beatles are my favorite artist; others in my top five (no particular order) are Bowie, Depeche Mode, Pink Floyd, and VNV Nation. My favorite genres include Motown and oldies, classic rock, new wave, post-punk, industrial, classical (especially minimalism like Phillip Glass or Max Richter), crooners like Sinatra or Dean Martin, alternative (especially early to mid nineties), jazz (New Orleans style and heavy on sax, yes!), blues, music from Disney films and a very select number of musicals, indie...and I can find artists I like in every genre.
Movies: Favorite director is Wes Andersen; also a big fan of the Coens, Tarantino, Kubrick, Lynch...I like independent film, especially visually stunning or with ambitious narrative styles (like Synechdoche, NY), and indie comedy; geeky favorites (superhero and scifi, cult hits), animated film, zombie films...I DISLIKE most action and romantic films.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The tag line is "I tried to steal a car with George Takei." It's a funny little story best related orally, and I will happily relate it when we meet if you'd like.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Currently, I have two empty rooms and an air mattress as well as a couch and some non traditional options (large chair and ottoman, giant couch-length stuff iguana), plenty of blankets, cushions, and pillows. There is wifi, and I have a selection of game systems including a ps4, an Xbox 360, an NES, an SNES, and a temperamental Atari. I also have a good selection of board games. I will cook, you can count on it, and I'm happy to join you in the city if you'd like. On transit directly to the heart of Seattle. Five-minute walk to local bar; 1-2 miles from a ton of other neighborhood stuff.
