About Me

I'm Aileen and I'm a 21 years old nurse in training. I've moved to Bavaria three years ago. I like to read an I'm into indie music. I try to write a book but I'm always busy doing something else so I will probably never do it but I try. I like the night, forest, rain, thunderstorms, reading with an good cup of tee, antiquities, old castles and churches, the nature, cooking, baking, the beach in autumn and street sales.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people from all around the world and learn something new about foreign countries. When I travel I want to really get to know the culture and I think that that's impossible if you live in a hotel.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I like a little bit of everything from indie to rock.
The Wombats, Lana del Rey, of mice & men, arctic monkeys, AC/DC, Nirvana, Ed Sheeran and so on..

Movies: Really nearly every genre. I like romantic comedies, horror movies, indie movies, I really love Harry Potter and I'm a little bit into the old Disney Movies like Mulan. I'm more into series. I'm a hardcore Netflix Junkie... I like Orphan Black, Gilmore Girls, Gossip Girl, Supernatural, American Horror Story, Friends, The Big Bang Theorie, Medical Detectives, Sex and the City etc.

Books: I like the good old classics like Pride and Prejustice, Alice in Wonderland, The catcher in the Ray etc. and I'm into Fantasy and probably everything from John Green..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The work I do daily. My Job is to take care of old people. It is exhausting and you see the death quite often but you are able to give a lot. If you are able to bring someone terminal ill to smile or laugh and really get to build a relationship with this person you get so much back. I can be the mother, the sister, the friend, the preacher and sometimes a par time doctor if needed. You see so much pain and at the end of the day you may be able to make the people forget their pains or to less the pain a little. And I think that this is one of the most amazing things you can do.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: The german language and culture. Maybe some baking skills.
Learn: New languages and impressions from other countries.
Share: A fun and interesting time together.

What I Can Share with Hosts
