About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To enjoy every moment of this short life by meeting amazing people & sharing stories

ABOUT ME

I did the usual route of degree, then straight into teaching job for 7 years. As much as I loved the kids I always wanted to travel and explore new things/places/people/food! I travelled to Nepal&India on charity missions in summer hols of 2011,then I travelled to Africa in the summer hols 2013(climbed Mt.Kili for charity), then I decided I wanted to do more than travel, I wanted to live somewhere else. I decided to au pair as I can still work with kids (an that's what I love),an I can explore somewhere new. I did a 5 week Euro trip first(where alot went wrong haha) until I settled in The Hague with an Italian family, so I'm now learning Italian as well as Dutch!

PHILOSOPHY

Try something new every day/week/month, smile at people, be kind it costs nothing, just enjoy yourself it's your life!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am complete newbie here, but I'd love to join some local groups to meet new people, either locals or other travellers, or even other au pairs! As I live with a family I cannot offer a couch but when I eventually settle (if I ever do!) then I hope to pay back other people's kindness by offering a place to crash

Interests

Travel (obvious I know), education, studying, languages, cooking/baking/eating, tea (I'm British), architecture, tattoos, partying, laughing, pugs, open-mindedness, dancing, reading, blogging, being a little bit impulsive...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There are so many to choose from. It may seem simple to some people but watching a child who has special needs improve with you teaching them, making their parents so happy that their child has a better quality of life is an amazing feeling! Also reaching the top of Mt.Kili was breathtakingly beautiful and amazing too as I really didn't think I'd make it at one point!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach people about everything to do with Liverpool,
Some languages (currently learning Italian, Dutch, can speak a little German, French, an Japanese), cooking/baking, an anything to do with special educational needs! I'd love to learn more languages & improve the ones I'm learning. I'd love to share experiences of travel, cultures & life in general! I'm always up for something different that's happening in a city, and i am always ready to party too :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

If some kind soul decides to host me then i will always accept their invatation to show me around, learn new things, and experience some of what they do in their life. If they don't want to do that then i am capable of exploring on my own and keeping myself busy. If we stay in together then i can always cook something from my hometown, and the conversation will never run out as i'm an easy person to talk to. If we go and party then i'm sure we'll have a great time and make some great memories! Let's laugh together and live life!
