About Me

⚠️⛔COUCHSURFING IS ABOUT CONNECTING WITH PEOPLE THROUGH HOSTING AND SURFING. IT IS NOT FOR FREE LOADERS WHO ONLY WANT FREE ACCOMODATION⛔⚠️

TO FREE LOADERS: PLEASE DONT BOTHER SENDING ME HOSTING REQUESTS IF YOU DON'T READ MY PROFILE. I WROTE IT FOR A REASON; FOR YOU TO READ CAREFULLY BEFORE SENDING A REQUEST. DON'T BE A SNOB WHO TAKES OTHER PEOPLE FOR GRANTED!

⛔ Instant DECLINED/IGNORED Requests if you send me only a short message like below or something similar:
"Hello . . . , I'm coming to Eskişehir for bla bla BLA reason. Can you host me?"

I won't even consider hosting you if you put nothing interesting on the section "What I Can Offer Host".
And this section is NOT for what you can offer your guests as a host!!!
If you write there "my travel stories, bla bla" please just save us time not to bother sending a request. No one wants to hear some boring, repetitive, bragging-like travel stories especially when you're just those kind of people who we call as Travel Snobs. Just because you stepped foot on a few more chunks of earth than everyone else doesn’t make you any special. It simply makes you someone who travels a lot. Trust me, that's not interesting at all! You should write on that section some brief explanation why anyone should host you or what quality you have as a person.

💚Things I love doing💚

Playing PC Games! (Mostly FPS like CS:GO, COD, or GTA). I'm quite competitive, hehe.
I love playing music, watching movies, traveling, capturing the moments digitally, karaoke, Yoga, trekking or mountain hiking, and I'm always up for a new experience, or even just to sit in a corner over a drink to talk about separating emotion and rationality, lol.
Give me any games to challenge me, say card games, board games, mind games whatever, and watch me become delightfully competitive! haha!

I'm into languages and psychology. I'm a sucker for intellectual and deep conversation. I love a good laugh and I'm always up for jokes and partying. I'm fond of 9gag, memes, sarcasm jokes, Disney and, occasionally, trolling. (It's such a weird combination, right).
I really wanna do bungee jumping, paragliding, and jumping from the airplane!!

🙅🏼‍♀️🚫Things I hate/dislike/avoid🚫🙅🏼‍♀️

⛔ People with superior attitude and people with no manners.

⛔ Gossips or gossiping!
With all superficial judgments about others, gossips can go wrong and turn into self-righteousness and cause unwarranted harm. Sometimes the talk is malicious and comes from something less than a clean conscience. Imo, gossiping usually comes from jealousy and it is just a pathetic way to make yourself look better.
I prefer a straight forward approach.

⛔ Close-minded people
I just can not get along well with this kind of people no matter how hard I try.
This includes people who are very uptight, boring, cold (yea all these stereotypical attitudes usually come around).

⛔ People who litter!! I think it is such a low attitude to leave your OWN garbage/trash for other people to pick up/clean. It's a small thing that everyone should be taught from a very young age. The mentality of the people who litter is just disgusting and I can't fathom or get along with this kind of mentality.

⛔ All kinds of forms that initiate to mock, bully, belittle, downgrade someone.
Unless you know the person well and you only do these things in a joking, fun way.

🌳🌳🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿 Philosophy 🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌳🌳

✿ Happiness is all that matters
✿ Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up.
✿ Be as open-minded as possible and think from many sides
✿ Success is getting what you want. Happiness is liking what you get.

Also when you wanna ask me to host you, message me with the opening line: Ahoy Irene.
Then I know that you read my profile before sending me a request! If not, I wouldn't consider hosting you. I really think that you need to put a little effort at least to read your host's profile. And please read my home section about my hosting condition.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I basically love being around people since I'm an extrovert. I believe that we can always learn something new from every person we meet. This is not only to get some possibilities to have new friends, but also to enhance my communication skills when I interact with people of diverse backgrounds. Sometimes we get too comfortable in our own world. It's good to widen your perspective and open your mind by hearing differences in opinion from every new person you come across.

So, Good Luck Have Fun ^^

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a wide variety of music I listen to. Sometimes it depends on the mood.
It could be Pop, Jazz, Classical music, movie soundtracks, club music, R n B, or Rock.
For dancing, I love going to a Techno party, but RnB and Club/House music are fine for me too.

I love watching movies that are called as mindfuck movies (e.g Inception, Memento, The Prestige, Interstellar, The Shawshank Redemption) basically movies that will play and screw with your mind till the point that you don’t know where you are cuz the movies are so freaking complicated and seriously clever, Sci-Fi, based-on-true-story movies (big fan of WW2 movies), and comedy. I love Disney too and most animated movies. I'm also a huge fan of musical movies like La La Land, The Greatest Showman, Les Misérables, Mamamia, Across The Universe, etc. But basically, I'm up for any kinds of movies as long as the rating is good and the movie is well made. I like series and I'm a big fan of Sitcoms as well. My favs series so far are Friends, Game of Thrones, The Big Bang Theory, Modern Family, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Prison Break, Avatar The Last Airbender (Animated), The Walking Dead and Breaking Bad.

I love Sherlock Holmes! And I'm a Potter Holic ;) I have all the books.

Oh almost forgot, I love South Park!! 😂😂

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going back to Jogja from Nusa Penida on a motorcycle in 3 days.

Flying a single-engine plane in Belgium.

Hiking a volcano at 3 a.m to arrive at the top at 6 a.m. The volcano is intoxicated with sulfur so we had to wear a gas mask.

Going back and forth Belgium - Czech Republic by car (apx. 15-17 hours on the road) 4 times in a month.

Being a nomad for several months, traveling and only playing video games to afford traveling.

Performing in a live show on Bosnian TV Channel (Hayat TV)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to play piano ;) or basic music in general. I love singing, and you can be entertained for free with my piano or my singing in my house which makes you feel like in a cafe. lol. I'm really passionate about what I am doing. I always believe that the best way to learn something and to keep in track of what you have learned is by teaching it to other people. I can also teach you some languages if you're interested and if you want to know about our culture and stories from the other side of the world, I would love to share those.
I love movies and series. I have a lot of downloaded movies and series on my laptop that you might want to see or copy haha. It sounds like nothing but hey some people are lazy to download themselves or too poor to have internet to watch streaming ;)
There are a lot of things I can come up with in having a good conversation; from music, languages, video games, psychology, men and women, happiness, or just by sharing things that make us laugh.
My energy drive comes from people around me. I can easily put aside my emotion and try to make other people comfortable and the positive vibe will reflect to me. So sharing laughter and fun memorable moments are some of the things I can offer you.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Friendship, a company, laughter, stories and discussion about mostly anything, sharing and brainstorming ideas and minds, games, and good moments. I can guarantee that if I am hosted by someone, I will put everything back in place and clean it as it was before. I like cleaning and I'm quite an organized person. If you have musical instruments, we can perhaps make music together.
Also, I was raised in an environment where we embrace giving each other souvenirs if we've just come back from a place far away. Therefore I always try to make sure I bring something to give to my host, be it something from my country, signature food/souvenirs from where I depart, or just post cards I have been collecting from other countries.

If you're willing to host me, don't hesitate to ask me to bring something from where I am leaving from. I will try my best to get what you want 😉
