I'm Aira, originally from Barcelona, but I have lived in England (to learn English while working) and the Netherlands (to study Liberal Arts, which I just finished in January 2018), and perhaps I could add Belgium, where I spent 6 months as a volunteer in a co-housing community. To me one (or perhaps THE ONE) biggest challenges has always been to decide... in general I guess haha (I just realised that as I was writing) but I meant to say: what to do with my life. You know, what job will I do, or in what will I invest all my energies so eventually something will be built. I haven't figured that out yet, and perhaps never will, so now the challenge is to live with that uncertainty:)

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
"Meeting people" has become a bit of a cliché thing to say, and indeed, sometimes you cross people that leave you untouched and sometimes a couple of days is enough to remember all your life. I believe we can always learn through relationships, and it is up to you and not the other person!

One Amazing Thing I've Done
- Couchsurfing! Workaway! - Sleeping in the middle of a highway in Myanmar (with other Burmese people) because the bus I was travelling in couldn't get into the capital city as there was a curfew. - Seeing Ian McKellen on stage in London - Travelling without a destination for three months, with a tent and sleeping bag, by foot and hitchhike - Making a mosaique in a hostel for pilgrims in Italy - Living around the Thun sea in Switzerland in my tent, beside a little waterfall, and bath in the lake everyday - Dumpster diving - Hitchhiking and being hosted by random people in 2020
Teach, Learn, Share
Cook some vegetarian dishes, Spanish or English... I don't know, what is it to teach? what is it to learn?
What I Can Share With Hosts
A good conversation, a walk, a vegetarian dish, a drawing, a mosaique (would need to stay for a few days though;), curiosity
My Interests
Perhaps they are so broad that I find it hard to focus on one thing. I really like to draw, I do it everyday on any kind of surface, then I lose my drawing or give them to someone. I really like to make presents as well, when I find the right thing. And I love theatre.
