Hi! I'm an American exchange student studying abroad at Victoria University of Wellington for the trimester. I have fallen in love with New Zealand's landscape and learning about the rich cultures of the Kiwis I've befriended so far. I am a down-to-earth, adventurous person and I love learning about new experiences and information. I am quite silly and love going with the flow, but I also am very fond of calm, quiet environments. I enjoy keeping to myself but also love to socialize and connect with new people.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
My boyfriend Thijs and I are hitchhiking and backpacking along the North Island for a month! I was able to roadtrip through the South Island for two weeks, and I am still taken away by the beautiful sights and nature. I am excited to stay with kind people and learn about different interests and perspectives!
Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to an eclectic variety of music, but love chill music, R&B, alternative rock, and indie rock music! I LOVE movies!! I really love Ma Vie En Courgette, Amélie, Pride & Prejudice (2005...but also BBC), Rush Hour 2, and Grown Ups haha I adore reading, and would love any recommendations! My personal favorites so far are The House of the Spirits by Isabel Allende, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde, A Midsummer Night's Dream by Shakespeare, anything by Nabokov, and The Tale of Despereaux :)
Teach, Learn, Share
yes yes please!! I love to cook, garden and write, and would love to share whatever stories I have in exchange for more :) I am most excited for couchsurfing for what I will learn from my interactions with people and nature on these adventures!! Anything that might be shared or taught, I would be so happy to learn
