Strange to be describing myself, but I am laid back and enjoy meeting new people - which I think is the best part of traveling.

Interessen

Travel is my passion- I am always thinking about and planning my next adventure. I am also interested in people - how can we be so diverse and so similar all at once? In fact, I have found that the best part of traveling is the people I meet. Beyond the natural beauty and historical sites of the places I've been, it is the friends I make who turn a trip into an unforgettable experience.

On the side, I also love cooking (and eating!), photography, art (museums), music (concerts), reading (fiction that sucks you in and keeps you turning pages), and writing (because I can better express myself on paper than in any other way).

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

One of my most unforgettable travel moments was in Israel. After a few hours of sleep under a Bedouin tent in the desert, I work up at three in the morning to hike up Masada in the dark. Half-asleep, I finally made my way up to the high plateau. From the summit, I immediately knew it was worth the early wake-up. I had arrived just in time to watch the sunrise over the sparkling Dead Sea. Sitting around some of my closest (and newest) friends, we all stared in awe at the spectacular scene before us as night rolled into day.
