Originally from the west coast (California and Seattle), I moved to DC several years ago for work (Engineer at Nuclear Regulatory Commission) . In my spare time I'm usually planning my next trip or editing photos from the last one. I also travel occasionally for work and ALWAYS bring local snacks, beer, or wine with me. Most people would describe me as outgoing (always make it a point to talk to Lyft/Uber drivers), supportive and easy to talk to (friends have no problem calling me for advice), and fun (yep!). I am respectful of common areas and keep them clean. I also make my own ramen (noodles, broth, toppings, and all) from scratch as a hobby. I have about 15 flavors of Kit Kats from my recent trip to Japan that I am willing to share.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
Whenever I travel somewhere, I like to do what the locals do. Sure, I sometimes go and venture out to the tourist attractions, but for the most part I just like to hang out at a scenic spot, drink a beer, read a book, play some boardgames, and/or have good conversations. I am always trying to learn things from new people, places, and cultures.

One Amazing Thing I've Done
Drove a car straight through a very large, very scary river because there was literally no other option.
