Teach, Learn, Share
In Amsterdam summer 2013, my friend and I stumbled on a bar with live music. The band was chillin outside smokin' up and drinkin'. They asked, "Do you play the drums? We are short a drummer..." (I don't play, but I have messed around with my brothers set growing up) I sipped a beer, watched them play without a drummer, and then I thought... This is what life is about, take chances, be different, fuck all the rest. I grabbed the drum sticks, and went for it. Played a simple back beat and there I was! Drumming for a local Amsterdam band in a bar! It was an awakening experience. We shared a spliff and a few beers after the set, and that was the first half to an incredible night.
- - - I learned from this that I should take up an instrument as a hobby for opportunities like this, or for the simple pleasure of being able to entertain myself or others at any given moment. - I also learned to just GO FOR IT! No one cares as much as you... so if you show confidence and just that who gives a fuck attitude, those around you will go along with your flow, the good vibes. - - -
What I Can Share with Hosts
