About Me

Eclectic, extroverted introvert. Wide range of interests, constantly curious and open-minded. After an extended break, now looking to catch-up on life experiences and learning. Aiming to discover who I am now and to have fun whilst I'm doing it.

Love nature (especially the ocean), can usually discuss most topics and if I can't, then I want to know about it!

A resurgence of interest in things ecological and spiritual. Plus a recognition that life really is too short.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Considering ...
- future travels
- the opportunity to host and meet other travelers and exchange/discuss.
- the chance to be inspired
- the chance to inspire

Interests

Communication (in all its forms, especially written and non-verbal.)
Human perceptions (of each other, the environment and ourselves.)
Movement (dance, yoga, tai-chi ...)
Outdoors (Walking, climbing, canoeing, skiing, diving ... some recent, some not!)
Art/creation (photography, painting, line drawing, ballet, acting, writing, singing, sculpture, concepts)
Meditation (mindfulness, movement in nature, flow)
Nature (especially the ocean, beaches, water)

Always happy to discuss any of the above.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - pretty varied, will listen to almost anything. If I don't 'get it', I may discuss! (like singing)
Movies - Enjoy a good SF film or something more challenging.
Books - varied - lots of SF, but plenty of others too - psychology, literary fiction, personal development.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Been at sea on a square rig sailing ship in a Force 11 Gale.
Stood on the slope of Etna whilst it was erupting.
Seen my children born.
Walked with hunting cheetahs.
Canoed with fur seals.
...
Life is full of amazing things.

Teach, Learn, Share

I hope through this experience I will discover more of the value I can offer to other travelers. I am currently searching for new experiences in all corners of my life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Who I am, where I've been, my own view of the world.
The skills I have or I'm adding to as I move, words, ideas (and a few decent recipes).
Whatever I happen to be doing when we meet.
