About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel the world until my feet won't carry me anymore

ABOUT ME

Hi! Me, most importantly I'm a full time dad with a son, 9, and daughter, 12 (ugh!) Great kids and having the best time I could. I'm an art junkie and food lover. Vernacular cultural student maybe. I'm travelling light with a medium back pack and hiking boots that have taken me on all my most recent trip from AZ and the GC to Florida to see my best friend to Washington DC with my kids.

I find the world such an interesting place with the kindest people wherever I go. Yeah, there are always the rainy day poeple but even the one's with frowns can smile when smiled at, right?

PHILOSOPHY

Respect all, harm nothing if at all possible while traversing this life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Have extra bed used as a base for a couch.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Just returned from an art museum surfing tour of Belgium and Amsterdam. I stayed with the most marvelous group of people from beginning to end; from Amsterdam to Bruxelles. Now home, I am searching my area to foster the CS mission. Travel on!

Interests

Art, cooking, architecture, conversation, anything outdoors or garden related. Professionally I'm a blend of craftman and engineer so anything thing with history and technology are intersting. My biggest interest right now is my kids and showing them that there is more beauty than anything in the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

Lot's of art. Lot's of technical stuff for engineering. I don't get the time to read for pleasure as much as I'd like. I spend the free time trying to get my kids to read more.

Jazz, blues, classics, etc, etc...

Old black and white movies, a movie with some sort of plot, humour.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The Grand Canyon in AZ, Sedona, Tucson, Sierra Vista, etc...Can't wait to go back!!

Washinton D.C., ask for tips/advice.

The hills of Kentucky and Tennessee.

Kayaking with my best friend in Florida.

My kids waking up everyday there at home!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm an open book and will share whatever I know as long as it is used to benefit someone in a good unselfish way.

Teach: I'm a blacksmith. I can show you how things were made a century or so ago. Maybe take a small piece of art with you on your trip.

Learn: Italian
One thing I've noticed is that what makes a community is its people. Without a populace, what's left if just brick, wood, and stone. It's the people that bring it to life

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Netherlands, United States
