I live in a little flat/apartment in Laßnitzhöhe near Graz. (It's about 25 minutes by train from Graz main station). I have two daughters (Lena, 21 and Anna, 18), Lena is studying in Berlin, Anna lives with her mother.
I am a teacher of English and German as a Foreign Language; music is an important part of my life - I sing in a choir; I also played the organ in different churches and like to play the piano in my free time. Travelling and learning about new cultures is my absolute passion.
My flat is not very big, but you are more than welcome.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I heard about this way of getting in contact with other people and cultures and thought: "hey, that's something for me". I like traveling especially by bike. I'd like to show people nice places in my country - and there is really an awful lot to be discovered!!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like popmusic (the greatest concert I've ever been to was Adele in Verona). I also like classical music. And books? There are so many, but history novels (especially Ken Follett) are my favourite.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I like discovering places by bike. One of the most awesome tours I did was the trip from Brenner (border between Austria and Italy) to Lake Garda (Italy) in 2015. But there are so many other things I could tell you - if you want to know about that, I can tell you in person!

Teach, Learn, Share

As a teacher, I like to pass on knowledge, of course. I can teach you some German if you want. And you can show me something about your country! Cook something for me for example!! I'm a busy guy and I usually eat out - so I definitely would appreciate a home made meal.

What I Can Share with Hosts

we can play some music, I can show you places in the area, I like to play football, ping-pong, I like jogging and - cycling, of course. We have quite a lot of bikes at home which you can use!
