Couchserfing for me is not the way of saving money, come on, there're cheap hostels everywhere. It's only about meeting people, discovering their perspectives and living their lives. So, if I host you, it means I'm interesting in you, in spending time w/ you, I'm eager to know you! If I stay at someone's place, I'm fully interested in everything a person can share w/ me: the host's favourite music/films/books/whatever; your favourite spots in the city, your opinion about politics/creation of the Universe/ your grandmother's best recepie - everything! At the same time I am to fully respect your own private life and schedule you stick to.
