About Me

Heyyyy!

I'm living in Cracow, Poland right now. I share a flat with my best friend so I'm not able to host at all times. If you wanted to meet, I'd gladly take you around (grab a coffee, visit a museum, go dancing, etc.).

For the past year I was an au pair near Detroit, MI in United States of America. I just got back and started my university studies. It's a total mashup but there is a lot about programming, social media, culture and other similar stuff. I enjoy it immensely so far.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet more awesome people from all around the world!!!

Interests

There is a lot of stuff I'm interested in. I absolutely love reading. And even though I'm rather active person (I enjoy running, roller&iceskating, dancing), I can totally spend whole weekend curled up in bed with a good book. Or two.

Cooking is also one of my favourite things in the world. It's even better when I'm cooking for somebody else than myself. And baking is great too. But I can say that both of them are getting far more interesting since I got into more healthy lifestyle. Try to bake a totally flourless but fluffy muffins, make pizza without cheese, limit oil usage, etc. I do love challenges! :D I admit some of my cooking experiments are not edible but the rest of it... Mmmmm. Yummy...

Another thing is my fondness of art. Just give me free tickets to an art gallery and I'm in heaven. You are probably going to be my favourite person until I get another pass to the museum from somebody else. I'm mostly into 20th century but it's really hard to say. I just love art. I know that somebody (pretty sure it was somebody famous) said, I'll paraphrase, that the intention of art is not to be nice but to connect with people; to move them. And I agree with it fully. (Also if you know who said that PM me. I was looking for the original quote everywhere!).

And last but not least, I have to say that I'm on Couchsurfing because I simply like to visit new places, discover new cultures, meet great people and live my life to the fullest. This is why, I decided to take a gap year between high school and university to go to States and explore! I'm planning on seeing as much as possible before I go back home at the end of October, 2016.

Music, Movies, and Books

I do not really have one particular favourite song, movie or book. Who does? But to fill out these category I will choose sth, ok?

Music: ranging from the smooth jazzy tunes, through MTV top hits, mixed with Disco Polo (but not all of the songs!), ending on Indie Rock and Symphony Gothic Metal. A variety is a spice of life, isn't it? Examples: Agnes Obel, Hugh Laurie, Lao Che, Rhapsody of Fire, Maja Koman, Alt-J, Half Moon Run, Ray Charles, Imogen Heap, Chopin, Rise Against, Skillet, Michael Buble, Frank Sinatra.

Movies: I watch a lot of drama. Sometimes suspense or Bollywood. Nothing too obvious. Examples: Django, Mommy, Gone Girl, Fantastic Mr Fox, Grand Budapest Hotel, Mandariinid.

TV shows: How I Met Your Mother, White Collar, House, M.D., Blindspot, Forever.

Books: "Diuna" Frank Herbert, "Pride and Predjudice" Jane Austen, "The Forbidden Garden" Kate Morton, Shakespeare's comedies, John Steinback.
