About Me
Hi :)
My name is Aleksandra and Mark is my life partner. I'm a project manager and Mark is electronic/informatic. Few months ago we decided to change our life so we took our bicycles to went for trip to explore the world for new experiences. We would like to make the best of every minute of our life as we believe that time is the most precious thing we have.
Our passion are mountains and all activities related to them, like: running, cycling, climbing and trekking.
We believe that the best way of discovering new places is by exploring the wildlife/nature, local culture but the most important are people and their thoughts, customs and believes. We love food so we do not hestitate to try new dishes and cook with locals if possible:)
Meet the travelers:
Mark was born and spend most of his life by the polish seaside where he had an opportunity to sail on the Baltic Sea, Mediterranean Sea and Atlantic Ocean. He is a patent sailor who gave his heart to the mountains, climbing on differents parts of the world: Cordillera, Andes, Patagonia, Caucasus, Tien Shan, Pamir, Alps, Dolomites, Tatra Mountains. Mark is experienced in high mountains climbing. He participated in many expeditions, include the Aconcagua Summit (6,962 m) in South America, a trip to Kyrgyzstan on the Lenin Peak (7134 m ) and two trips to Alaska to climb Denali (6190 m).
I (Aleksandra) love to stay close to the nature as this is my way of charging batteries to face new challenges. I do running, snowboarding and MTB cycling. I am very happy and proud that I was able to climb and enjoy the view from the highest peak of Europe (Mont Blanc) and the highest peak of North Africa (Jebel Tubkal in Atlas Mountains in Marocco). The desire to discover new places and meeting people caused that many times I took my backpack and went to the other end of the world to: see the glaciers and penguins in Patagonia, taste the specialties of Chilean cuisine, take a "walk in the clouds' at Salar de Uyuni in Atacama Desert , sunbathe on the Brazilian beaches , visit Buddhist temples, take trekking in the tropical jungle or spend the night in a tent in the Sahara Desert.
Each experience wouldn't be so valuable without people we' ve met on our road or who joined us and with whom we could shared all of these moments. We really appreciate what we have experienced so far and believe that many beautiful occasions are still ahead of us:)
