Overview
About Me
I have been living all my life in Finnish capital area but also traveled lots around Europe, Latin America and Asia. Eastern Europe is still a bit unknown territory for me so inter-railing through Balkan is definitely next on my bucket list.
I´m easy going and really flexible but not a morning person. I enjoy a good laugh and interesting conversations with whoever.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like to meet new people and learn about different cultures and ways of life. As a host I hope I can give some insights on Finnish culture and help on what to do or see around our beautiful capital area.
By couch surfing I hope I can get more insight on how people are and live in their day-to-day lives. When you stay in hostels you do meet new people but maybe don´t learn enough on local customs. That is the main reason i´d love to use couchsurfing instead.
Interests
I enjoy playing games (used to play poker as a semi-pro and now try to learn chess) and just to chill out with my friends during my free time, going to concerts, watch movies etc. Since winters are quite harsh here, during that time I like to read books or practice playing my guitar.
When I´m traveling I also like to hike in the nature, swim in the lakes or just stroll around the city.
I have been travelling around the globe since I can remember and that gives me the greatest pleasure: exploring new cities or hidden beaches and meeting new people! I try to hop out of the rat race as often as I can.

Music, Movies, and Books
Everything goes when it comes to music, but prefer something with a guitar in it. To name a few favorites: Radiohead, Arcade Fire, Pink Floyd, the Beatles, Mew, Rubik and also have been listening quite a lot of recent Finnish bands.
Wes Anderson is atm one of my favorite directors. Also enjoy the classics like Kubric or Marx Brothers or some indiestuff. I really enjoy watching good documentaries (nature, space, history, you name it).
I read when I have time, currently trying to page through some old Finnish classics, likes from Mika Waltari.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Interrailed through western Europe when i was 17 for three weeks with 3 of my friends. We made it all the way to Barcelona (and back) and the high-point was a night in the beach with sisha and couple of beers.
On par with that is digging gold while camping in the wildernes or Lapland.
