About Me

I finished my EVS volunteering experience in Zagreb few weeks ago.
I have a Master's degree in Economics but I decided to embarque in a unique experience in Outward Bound Croatia for 9 months. Since the beginning of April I'm living in Como where I'm working as a marketing assistant. Unlikely, for now I cannot host, but I hope to do it in the future.
I love reading, daydreaming and, since July, I love outdoor life! :)
I dream about a world less arrogant and full of smiles and irony; my motto in life is that there's no insuperable obstacles, reason why one of my favourite song is "Ain't no mountain high enough" by Marvin Gaye.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to know new cultures and new places.
Before my experience in Croatia I didn't travel enough but since last year I want to travel, enjoy life and learn from other cultures and new experiences.
In the last 9 months we met more than 400 new friends from 28 different countries and this fact pushed us to be more curious; we hosted people from other countries and we had a couchsurfing trip in Prague, Bratislava and Budapest that was perfect!
I'm always ready for every adventures and to spend time with local people and I think that couchsurfing is the perfect idea for a nice trip!!

Interests

Reading reading reading. Old literature, Italian literature, historical or political books, poetry books, journals and reportages.
I'm also interested in travelling, international economics, oriental cultures, outdoor activities (hiking and climbing), yoga, journalism, series and movies.
I'm studying French (I can speak at a average level) and Croatian (basic level). I also would like to learn other languages (portuguese and spanish for sure, but I'm also fascinated by arabic language).
I believe that "On commence à vieillir quand on finit d’apprendre" (We start to age when we'll finish to learn) and I want to be forever young :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love author music: Italian authors (De Andrè, Guccini, Dalla) and international ones (Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, Marvin Gaye).
I also love Florence and the Machine, Beatles, The Police, Gogol Bordello, Zaz, Arcade Fire, Chemical Brothers and so on (yes, no specifical genre). I went to a lot of concerts.
Favorite books: Italo Calvino's books, Blindness (Saramago), Thousands years of loniless (Garcia Marquez) and... Harry Potter! I read a lot of books and my list of books to read is huge. I also love to take inspiration from other people libraries!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In August I took part to a 8-days program organized by my host-organization on Velebit mountain (Croatia).
I spent with other 9 persons the all program without phone or other technologies. Only me and them talking, having fun and being in the nature. We spent the time hiking, building bivouacs (and sleeping in), changing locations (and carrying everything), share thoughts around the bonfire, climbing.
We reached a very high peak but especially we achieved the most important goal: be wild and happy :).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love cleaning (usually people don't believe it) and I can cook Italian dishes.
I would like to share my experience as a volunteer and my amazing outdoor experiences as well as have fun and listen other stories and adventures.
Ah, I can teach Italian language and Italian gesture language :D
