I am Alex and I am 34 years old. I joined the couch surfing project because I had a lot of fun experiences while traveling and using Airbnb. Unfortunately Airbnb is getting more and more impersonal so I'm hoping to get back the feeling of meeting local people that will let me be a part of their culture and show you the real hotspots around (away from mass tourism). I am living in Germany (Bavaria) and I am working as a SAP Business Consultant (resp. Software Engineer). I'm in a relationship with my girlfriend Kathy who is 28 years old and will most likely be traveling with me :-) My hobbies include surfing the internet, watching movies, working out, hanging around with friends and having a couple of beers.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
As said before I'd used to be a big fan of Airbnb in the beginning, but nowadays it has become more and more impersonal and a money-making machine for most of the people. And since I'm from Germany I always have an eye on the $ ;-)
Music, Movies, and Books
Renaissance Man with Danny Devito is my absolute no 1 :-) I don't know why but this movie always reminds me of my childhood.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Traveling around Iceland in a camper van for two weeks was probably the best holiday in my life. Looking forward for the US to come close :-)
