Hi, my name is Alex Zou and I am currently a student at the University of Texas at Austin studying marketing and pursuing a certificate in computer science. I am currently 21 years old and enjoy exploring the world and the cultures it has to offer. I am always looking to learn, develop, and grow as a person, while discovering all that the world has to hold.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couchsurfing mainly as a way to interact with people that I would never typically have an opportunity to get to know. I have been in the United States for most of my life, but there is so much more out there in the world. There are so many opinions to be heard, so many adventures to be experienced, so many people to meet, and so much to learn. I believe couchsurfing is a great way I can gain some of these experiences.

Interests

I tend to think I am the typical millennial college student. I love exploring the world and the wonders that it holds. In particular, I love going on hikes and exploring nature, while capturing these experiences through the lens of my camera. I also love doing art-both 2D and 3D, dance- I have taken many lessons in ballroom dancing, and just trying out new foods from different cultures.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I studied abroad in Hong Kong during my freshman year. There I got a custom tailored suit from a tailor that has done suits for famous presidents, James Bond, and various other famous characters. I also got to see a pink dolphin and go cliff diving in Hong Kong.

Teach, Learn, Share

Although I am not skill in too many things, I can teach you a bit of ballroom dancing, as well as art and graphic design.

I am always looking to learn. I would love to learn anything from my hosts, whether it be opinions, skills, or experiences.
