Overview
About Me
22 year old student, whose quickly getting sick of learning from books and getting sick of my country even quicker! Can talk to anyone about anything but just as good a listener. Meeting people is my passion. Would say I'm a good cook, have been cooking from an early age. Have been a vegatarian for over two years though before four months ago made the switch to vegan, though when travelling this can be harder to stick to. Avid reader. If I had to sum up some sort of philosophy, it would be there is no problem on the planet that cannot be resolved through education.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For me travelling is all about the people you meet, the experiences you can share and the stories you exchange! To me I don't think you can truly experience a culture till you've met the people it has shaped.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favourite band is in flux at the moment, for a long time I would have said Guns N Roses but more recently The Doors, though my taste is widely eclectic, from Billy Bragg to Tupac, Bowie to System of a Down. Movies, anything that makes you think, from any era, any style. Picking a favourite would be hard but off the top of my head Hurtlocker gets me every time. The Great Gatsby is my favourite book, am always reading.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Would have to be the first time I was in Borneo five going on six years ago now with Camps International. Certainly the most rewarding thing I've ever done, helping in ways from reseeding jungle to create habitat for Orang-utans, painting and decorating a single mothers shelter or sweating my arse off digging a water fed through the jungle! Was an amazing month that igniting my still burning passion for travel.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Vibrant energy and enthusiasm to learn. Tales from my travels and and insight into my home country/countries. Am able to cook to a beyond a basic standard and enjoying cooking as often as I can. Though I am vegan at home I can cook to any preference. Conversation on a variety of topics. An appreciation of a good whiskey, my grandparents were Scottish, but also wine or beer.
