Overview
About Me
I’m Alexander — a curious, evolving human on a slow but steady journey through life, ideas, and places. After years of exploring both inside and out, I’ve come to realize that genuine connection, shared vulnerability, and meaningful conversation are what make any journey worth it.
I believe in transitions — between cities, mindsets, states of being — and I often find myself in-between: building new projects, sketching wild ideas, reflecting deeply, and learning to trust my own rhythm.
Right now, I’m somewhere between Southeast Asia and the future — figuring out how to combine tech, creativity, and human interaction in a way that makes life more alive.
I’m a deep talker, a good listener, and someone who finds value in both silence and stories. I appreciate honest people, imperfect plans, and moments of spontaneous clarity.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m here because I believe in human generosity as a renewable resource.
I want to learn how others live, what they dream about, and what they struggle with. I also want to offer the same in return — to open a door, share a perspective, or simply cook a warm meal together.

Music, Movies, and Books
My musical taste is incredibly eclectic and always evolving. At the core, I love tracks with energy and soul, whether it's the classic funk of WAR, the clever beats of Fatboy Slim, the raw power of The Prodigy, or the hypnotic journeys of electronic artists like Maceo Plex and Eric Prydz.
But my collection is full of diamonds from every genre: I can go from the rock anthems of Linkin Park and RHCP to the pure pop joy of ABBA and Mika, the smooth vocals of Amy Winehouse and Hozier, or the global energy of Stromae and Daddy Yankee. I believe good music transcends genre. If you have a track that gives you goosebumps, I want to hear it.
My taste in film is as wide as it gets. I'm drawn to movies that are captivating, deep, light, funny, scary, romantic, or just completely non-standard. I appreciate everything from the absolute realism of a film like Amistad to the beautiful fantasy of This Beautiful Fantastic or the mind-bending concepts in Poor Things and Squid Game. I love films that challenge my perspective, whether it's a documentary on AI like AlphaGo or a clever satire like Wag the Dog.
While traditional novels have taken a backseat for me recently, I am consuming text more than ever before. In my work building AI solutions, I read and process huge amounts of information daily—on technology, psychology, system design, and more. It's a targeted way of learning that directly fuels my personal development and the complex projects I'm building. For me, reading is about gathering the tools and perspectives I need to create and understand the world right now.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One amazing thing I’ve done is build a relationship with yoga as a daily practice — especially while traveling and adapting to uncertainty.
In places where I didn’t know anyone or even the language, unrolling my mat (even just for 10 minutes) reminded me that I’m home inside myself.
It’s not just stretching — it’s remembering who I am, wherever I go.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach the basics of mixing music on DJ equipment, how to snowboard, or share my knowledge on setting up home networking and IT systems.
I'm always curious to learn a simple, delicious recipe from your home country, hear your perspective on a complex topic, or learn a few phrases in your language that I'd never find in a book.
I am happy to be a "firm sounding board." If you have an idea or a problem you're stuck on, I'm great at listening and helping to find an answer or a new perspective. And, of course, a good conversation over coffee or a shared listening session of some great music.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share space, stories, calm presence, or energy if the mood calls for it.
I love helping others map their projects or personal decisions. If you’re stuck somewhere — mentally or practically — I can offer listening, structure, or surprising questions.
I also cook (simple, warm food), help with tech things (like websites, AI tools), and can recommend you a strange dreams.
If you’re building something with purpose, I’d love to be your sounding board — or just your temporary guest with good tea habits
