I am a system engineer at international company and my wife works with Finance. We are together for 3 years. We speak English and know some words from other languages. We are not looking for just a place to sleep but looking for people who would like to meet us and share something local.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We traveled a lot since 2007 but now realized that sometimes, when you travel, you stay in a touristic bubble. We would like to have opportunity to understand more about culture and local people in visiting countries. We are always open for people, who want to understand more, break the barriers and feel the life with its different tastes. Last summer we changed our mind a lot when we guided our colleague from China in Moscow for about a week. It was amazing experience for us and for him.

Interests

I used to help people with first time travel to Thailand for several years. Me and my wife studied Thai massage in Moscow (Russia) and in Chiang Mai (Thailand). So sometimes we are in mood for massage. We like to drink tea from China, Taiwan and Northern Thailand. In addition I like to play Soccer, Paintball, taking Photos and my wife likes Rock Climbing.

Music, Movies, and Books

There are many different things that we like or don't like. I can’t remember two identical days when we wanted to listen to the same music. It’s always better to choose stuff appropriate to your mood. We like cats and dogs if it matters.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Tracking in real Thailand mountain jungle for about 5 km with only flip-flops and swimming suites on us.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can tell you about Russian culture, cook something very Russian if we can find the ingredients and of course share our travel experience. We know a lot about Thailand, spent there about a half a year in total. We are not musicians but like to sing songs. Studied Thai massage and can practice with you if the atmosphere and mood is suitable.
