For the last 5 years we were working hard in London, but now we have decided to take some time out and travel around The Iberian Peninsula by car for around 6 weeks.

Throughout this travel we will be looking to connect with local people to get a good idea of the culture of Portugal and Spain, and also to collect stories, recommendations and hopefully new friends.

Therefore I am updating this profile in the hope that we will be able to stay with a few local people on our journey :)

I (Alex) have used Couchsurfing twice, around 6 years ago. Since then the two positive references I collected have gone as the people I stayed with have deleted their accounts.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I (Alex) studied a masters degree in Maastricht, Netherlands, following this I went to travel and live in Turkey on my own. After this experience my life was never the same - what beautiful countries and culture. One day perhaps I see myself repeating these travels.

Rafaela spent her placement year in the Portuguese Air Force.
