ABOUT ME
Hello :) I am a 23 year old Master's graduate of Drama & Theatre Studies. Having just spent a long period of my life pulling apart Shakespeare in dark, dusty theatres and 'getting into the soul of the character' I am looking forward to some outdoor activities i.e. travelling the world!
I am a very open and talkative person; I enjoy museums- especially the free ones!- I love to look at new things and I have a deep love of food. I used to be quite a fussy eater but no more, those days are gone and now I want to try EVERYTHING no matter how weird :)
PHILOSOPHY
"I would always rather be happy than dignified"
- Charlotte Brontë, Jane Eyre
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am entirely new to couchsurfing but I am very much looking forward to the experience. I enjoy learning about new places and being shown new things; and I hear only good things about it.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I am yet to surf any couches, however my boyfriend and I will be travelling through Northern Europe and Germany in a week's time and this will hopefully be my first experience of it.
Interests
Art, literature and theatre are probably top of my list and I think I already mentioned food, so after these it would be anything to do with the wilderness. Having grown up in a forest I enjoy walking, hiking, climbing and anything outdoorsy or to do with nature. I am hoping my travels will introduce entirely new landscapes to me and I will get to see animals/ plants unique to the area.
Oh! and probably my favorite activity/ pastime is shopping in vintage clothes stores/ charity shops. I love the hunt.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Probably my best experience was studying abroad in the Netherlands. As well as the travel opportunities it provided, I also met some of my favorite people on the planet there.
The most amazing thing I've ever seen was Botticelli's 'The Birth of Venus' at the Uffizi gallery in Florence. It wasn't even a favorite of mine; however after queuing for 5 hours in the blazing heat to get in, it was all worth it when I found this painting. It literally took my breath away.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm hoping couch surfing will throw me into the heart of the culture and places I'll be visiting. I look forward to hearing what a place is really like, not just what the brochure recommends it as.
