Hi there!

I am Alfiana from the Netherlands, I lived in Canada for a year and I am currently traveling through the USA, now in Alaska in a cabin taking care of sled dogs! I love staring at maps, fantasize about new places, I am always curious to see different sites, other cultures and to learn new things. I like to meet people from everywhere and hear about their stories because It teaches me so much and expands my view.

I also love music, graphic design, food, boardsports and my family. I am easy going and I love to dance. I like to keep l live simple and easily live out of a suitcase. The biggest virtues in life for me are to be open, compassionate, adaptive and grateful at all times.

Summer 2016 I traveled per train through Europe: Prague, Budapest, Vienna, Trento, Milano, Marseille, Barcelona and Razo. And winter 2016 until last week I spent a year in Canada working/traveling. Now I am in the USA collecting new adventures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel and meet new people, this seems like an awesome opportunity to learn about places through people and share some travel experience while doing it.

I learned that one of the biggest delights of traveling are the people you meet on the way, and for me in all my travels this has been a true fact. I haven't had a lot of couch surfing experience, mostly I met people through other people but I love the concept and would like to use it more!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There are a lot of things I considered amazing while traveling, but the latest one is setting foot in Alaska... it always sounded like it could not happen, a place that only exist on Discovery Channel, but here I am.

Teach, Learn, Share

The best thing a friend taught me was to always ask myself: 'why not?' This led me to traveling, chasing things I could only dream of and every encounter with other people teached me something new or led me to a new destination on my trip.

I love to learn new things and I am up for a challenge to experience new things. Latest thing I did what was terrifying and awesome at the same time was breaking trails riding a dog sled.
