About Me

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I feel like you don't really see a place in its true colours unless you see it through the eyes of a local. I want to share stories, become amazing friends with brilliant individuals from all over the place, and make memories more than you can buy on a postcard. The best, safest, and most feasible way for me to do this is by using Couchsurfing, and I can't wait to get started. I am new to CS, as I have never really been in the right situation to make effective use of it before now, but armed with a big bag and a tent myself and Kelsea want to truly live in the places we visit, not just look from the sidelines. This is why we are so keen to get involved with CS. We want to travel the right way, and for the right reasons. Gaining amazing experiences, sharing crazy stories and getting out there is all now a great possibility, which I am going to grab with two hands.

Interests

Photography; especially POV video and alternative "Capturing the moment" photography, which typically lends itself to taking multiple shots in close procession in the hope to get a single good shot which nobody or no-thing was posing or ideally placed for a "photo perfect" shot.
Other interests are nature, culture, passion, and architecture. Preferably all combined because together only amazing things can happen. I love being "at-one" with the world, and sometimes that means just taking a step back and looking from afar, observing your surroundings and really truly appreciating. That feeling will never get old.
Finally, I am interested in vegan food and exercise (European hiking and tasty street food, come at me). At home I am always looking for something to allow me to stretch my legs and learn something new. Whether it be a walk up the local hill, a workout at the gym, or a further afield trek in unknown land. I rarely say no to adventure! I have recently become vegan, slightly altering my original vegetarian diet to accommodate my new found feelings towards food. I find peoples perspectives of vegan-ism really interesting to hear, and it is really interesting to see how many misconceptions people tend to have, through no fault of their own. However, don't let me being began put you off hosting me! I am really easy going and I don't mind when people don't have the same views as me towards food/the meat and diary industry, because after all, if everyone thought the same life would lack luster! Also, I am like the least fussiest eater ever. Give me a plate of vegetables and I'd be content.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A great day/night, lots of laughter, vegan food if you're willing to take the meat and dairy free plunge (if not, don't worry!!), traveling stories, ears to listen and pretty much anything else if the situation fits! I'm easy going and just want to meet locals and experience life how it should be
