I was born in Porto (a wonderful city with great wine), studied Sociology in Lisbon and Demography in Belgium. I worked for several years in the Azores (Portugal), Macau (South of China) and Belgium. For short periods, I also worked in São Tomé and Príncipe, Angola, Brazil, Burkina Faso and Mongolia. I've been a lecturer and researcher at the University of Minho for over 20 years.
I've travelled a lot around the world doing what I love most: meeting people and learning about their
culture. I also love nature. I've always had a lot of fun walking in the countryside with my two dogs.
At home, I like to read, watch films and prepare special meals for friends. I go out with them very often to see a play, a dance show or a concert, or to discover Portugal's best preserved sites.
